D Link Ddns Not Updating

Thanks Brian, I also noticed the configuration file didn't change when setting the 'Do not use external ip' flag. My thoughts is that it just sets a flag in code that forces the inadyn software to skip the ip check and use what the router currently has. When reading the documentation on the router's limited help text, it says, if my Dynamic DNS provider gives me a Key to use, enter it in all three fields. So I did that. It still will not update the address. Has anybody gotten this to work? Details: D-Link DIR-655 Hardware version A3, Firmware 1.33NA.

Setup

I have a D-Link DWR-512 router, which i need to create a dynamic dns, so i can access to the router throught the dns instead of the ip.

The router is only connected to solar inverter panels, so i can't use the noIp dynamic update client software to update the IP.

It works perfectly. I can acess the router through cipade.smartwatt.net, but when the router reboots then it no longer works. Shouldn't the router update the ip in the noip account?

We are upgrading the D-Link DDNS platform and need to verify that you are still an active user of the service. As a user of a hostname supplied by Dyn (aka DynDNS) with a D-Link product, you are required to confirm your account within 90 days of this notice.
